Executive Director

Provides overall management of CEA’s accreditation system and operations, ensures CEA’s quality and good practices as a specialized and professional accreditor, represents CEA and its standards to external entities and the public, and develops plans to meet the needs of CEA’s accredited sites and the field.  She served on the original TESOL task force that studied the feasibility of an accreditation agency.  She is a former CEA chair, past president of AAIEP, and a former member of the NAFSA Board of Directors.  She holds MA and MSE degrees as well as a PhD in educational leadership and policy studies with a focus in international education.

Associate Director

Manages aspects of the accreditation process including leading accreditation workshops and writing reports for the Commission, serving as staff liaison to the Standards Review Committee, and identifying and implementing improvements to the accreditation process. Heidi has over a decade of experience in language program administration at US-based and international sites.  She holds a MA in Applied Linguistics & TESOL, a PhD in Applied Linguistics and is a former English USA Executive Board member and past chair of the Standing Awards Committee for TESOL.

Senior Accreditation Specialist

Assists sites with reporting substantive changes and responding to reporting requirements issued with the grant of accreditation as the staff liaison for the Standards Compliance Committee. Prior to joining CEA, Masha worked as the ESL and TESOL program director at Virginia International University. She has an MA in TESOL and a PhD in Linguistics, both from SUNY Stony Brook. In 2013-2016, she served as the membership secretary for Washington Area Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (WATESOL), a regional affiliate of TESOL.

Accreditation Review Manager

Manages the site visit scheduling process, trains peer-reviewers, oversees site review teams, and processes Review Team Reports written as a result of the site visit. Nicole has ten years of teaching and program administration experience in intensive English programs in the U.S. and overseas. She has an EdM in TESOL from Boston University and an MBA in Management & International Business from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Accreditation Process Manager

Provides guidance to sites from the application for eligibility through the submission of the self-study. Kristen has been with CEA since its first launch as the TESOL Commission on Accreditation. After graduating from the University of Rochester, she joined the Peace Corps and taught English for 2 years in Karadeniz Ereğli, Turkey.

Accreditation Specialist and Technology Manager

Supports work with the Standards Compliance Committee, reviews of eligibility, training, and is a trained CEA Representative.  Formerly, Rachel was a Co-Director of the IEP and a DSO at the University of Central Missouri.  She has an MA in TESL and an MS in Educational Technology.  She is a member of NAFSA, TESOL, and ISTE.

Financial Operations Manager

Manages all aspects of the day-to-day financial and operational functions for CEA. As well as, spearheads all financial reviews for sites and maintains the financial management and organization of CEA to site-related matters. She has a degree in Accounting with over 18 years in accounting and business operations management.

Administrative Assistant

Provides administrative support to CEA staff. Samantha has 6 years of event planning and 12 years of administrative experience.   She has a BA of Business Administration in Managerial Science from Georgia State University and an AS in Business Administration from Georgia Perimeter College.  She currently serves as Network Ambassador for the Georgia State DC Alumni Network.
