Friends of CEA
Over the years, many individuals and organizations have served CEA by volunteering their time and/or financial support. CEA greatly appreciates this support of its mission to improve the quality of English language programs and institutions in the United States and other countries.
In particular, CEA thanks Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, Inc., for funding the development of the standards and the accrediting agency and making a major grant available to CEA for its first years of operation, and also the TOEFL Board, Grants and Awards Committee, for awarding grants in support of CEA's various standards review projects.
In addition, CEA expresses thanks to the American Association of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP) and to UCIEP—A Consortium of University and College Intensive English Programs in the USA for their on-going financial contributions.
Finally, CEA appreciates the support of current and past commissioners and their programs and institutions, many of which have provided funding for commissioners to participate in meetings of the Commission.
CEA is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a reliable authority on the quality of instruction and services provided by accredited English language programs and institutions.
