The CEA Standards Review Committee has on-going responsibility for determining the validity and reliability of the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions. The review process includes a variety of activities:
- carrying out a survey on the standards as a whole every 3 years
- conducting a review of standard areas on a 3–year cycle
- documenting those standards that are found during site reviews to have the most violations
- seeking input on the standards following site visits
- ensuring consistent application of the standards through training of sites seeking accreditation, CEA reviewers and commissioners
Comments Invited The Commission welcomes on-going comments on the standards. Continued input is an important step in ensuring that the CEA standards continue to be valid measures of quality in English language instruction and administration, please contact us.
