Executive Director
Responsible for overseeing the quality of the CEA accreditation process and agency operations as a specialized USDE-recognized accrediting agency for intensive English programs. Leads implementation of CEA’s Strategic Plan and represents CEA and its standards to accredited sites and the public. Ensures that the Commission performs as a well-governed, high-functioning, and reliable accreditation decision-making body. Heidi has over two decades of experience in ESL teaching and language program administration at US-based and international sites. She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics & TESOL, a PhD in Applied Linguistics and is a former English USA Executive Board member, serves on the Editorial Board of TESOL Journal, and is the chair of the ASPA spring professional development committee.

Accreditation Process and Technology Manager
Provides guidance to sites from the application for eligibility through the submission of the self-study, including managing the eligibility review and reaccreditation process. Rachel manages CEA’s educational technology and is a trained site visit representative. Rachel has experience as a DSO, IEP Director, and educational technology specialist in higher education settings.  She has an MA in TESL and an MS in Educational Technology. She has served in regional leadership roles in MIDTESOL and is an active member of NAFSA, TESOL, and AECT.

Accreditation Review Manager
Manages the site visit process, including proposing policies and procedures related to the site visit and review process. Trains reviewers, conducts site visit scheduling, provides support for CEA representatives, and supports in-process programs and institutions. Melissa has taught English language and academic writing at the postsecondary level in the US and internationally. She has also created and managed teacher training and professional development programs internationally. Melissa holds an MA, TESOL and an MEd, Educational Leadership. She is also a member of the TESOL International Association Standards Professional Council.

Accreditation Coordinator
Supports CEA’s compliance reporting activities for review by the Standards Compliance Committee.  Acts as a CEA site visit representative on review teams, reviews site reports, delivers workshops and training events. Emily’s prior experience includes program coordination and teaching in various settings, including adult education, community college settings and in private institutions abroad. She has an MA in TESOL and recently finished a two-year term as the Professional Development Co-Chair for Washington Area Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (WATESOL), a regional affiliate of TESOL.

Director of Compliance
Manages the review of substantive change reports and responses to reporting requirements issued with the grant of accreditation. Acts as the staff liaison for the Standards Compliance Committee and is a site visit representative. Masha’s prior experience includes program management, teaching, and curriculum development.  Masha has an MA in TESOL and a PhD in Linguistics. She recently finished a three-year term as the membership secretary for Washington Area Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (WATESOL), a regional affiliate of TESOL.

Director of Finance and Operations
Manages CEA’s accounting, financial and operational functions. Leads on financial reviews for sites throughout various stages of the accreditation process. Joy communicates with sites regarding financial reporting, including annual financial reporting and sustaining fee payments, and guides the site visit reviews of the financial condition of sites as part of the accreditation process. Joy has a degree in Accounting with over 18 years in accounting, financial analysis and business operations management at for-profit and non-profit corporations.

Executive Advisor
Responsible for supporting the Executive Director, and other CEA staff as assigned, to ensure the quality and continuity of CEA's operations and services.  Conducts or supports CEA projects and accreditation initiatives, as assigned.  Mary served on the original TESOL task force that studied feasibility of an accreditation agency and served as CEA's Executive Director for five years. She is a former CEA Commission chair, president of AAIEP, and member of the NAFSA Board of Directors. She holds MA and MSE degrees and a PhD in educational leadership and policy studies with a focus in international education.

Administrative Assistant
Provides administrative support to CEA staff. Samantha has 6 years of event planning and 12 years of administrative experience.   She has a BA of Business Administration in Managerial Science from Georgia State University and an AS in Business Administration from Georgia Perimeter College.  She currently serves as Network Ambassador for the Georgia State DC Alumni Network.
