Accreditation Workshops
CEA offers several accreditation workshops each year. Workshops include a discussion of accreditation in general, specific CEA procedures, an in-depth look at the CEA Standards, the self-study process, writing the self-study report, and the site visit. Participants receive a copy of the Accreditation Handbook and the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions in advance of the workshop for preparation and review.
Programs or institutions submit an Application for Eligibility Form, or Reaccreditation Application, which must be reviewed and approved. Then, approved sites receive an invitation to attend a workshop. Attending a CEA workshop implies that the program or institution is ready to begin the process of self-study, which must be completed within 18 months of the workshop. Within two months of the workshop, the site must prepare and submit a self-study plan, which will guide the self-study process leading to submission of the self-study report.
CEA offers customized workshops for an additional fee upon request. To schedule a customized workshop, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
